Founded in 1984, Crossover is a national initiative of Australian Baptist Ministries. For over 30 years we have been helping Australian Baptists share Jesus.
Crossover is focused on providing encouragement, training and resources for outreach and evangelism. Encouragement is so vital, because with all the tools and training in the world we will not reach people unless our hearts are aligned with the passion of God’s heart to seek and save the lost. Training is highly strategic too – we have all seen the difference between mission done in a loving, Christlike, thoughtful way, and the opposite. And we love to offer resources to passionate Australian Baptists who are reaching out in their contexts. The right tool at the right time makes a great difference. Some resources we produce ourselves, and we’re also happy to recommend great material produced by other likeminded believers.
Crossover is entirely funded from the grass roots of our movement – individuals and churches who believe in the vitality of outreach and evangelism – that the only way to the kinder, safer, fairer and more sustainable world that we all desire is for more and more people to come to know Jesus for themselves, to find their place in God’s family through Him, and to have their hearts and minds transformed by His Spirit. We unashamedly seek financial support from across our movement because we are fully convinced of the importance of this ministry to our movement, our nation and the world.
Whether your strength is in sharing the news of Jesus, developing creative resources, praying, supporting financially, leading a church, generally helping out – or like most of us some combination of the above – we’d love you to connect with us and help us help Australian Baptists share Jesus.
